To be eligible for the main event, players must have an established (not provisional) rating and a US Chess state affiliation of either Texas or Oklahoma. Provisional (new) players, players from other states, and players who are not paired in the match are welcome to join us and participate in the Carter County Open. 

 

Red River Shootout (Match) format, schedule, & information​​

Two rounds, game/60;+30. Play the same opponent twice: once as Black, once as White.  Oklahoma odd number boards are White for Round one.
 

To be paired in the match: 

• You must have an established rating

• Your state affiliation (as shown on your page at ratings.uschess.org) must be either TX or OK.

Match pairings will be determined by the team captains. Players not paired in the match will be paired in the Murray County Open.

**Preregistered players must be onsite no later than 10:00.** Check in with your team captain when you arrive.
