To be eligible for the main event, players must have an established (not provisional) rating and a US Chess state affiliation of either Texas or Oklahoma. Provisional (new) players, players from other states, and players who are not paired in the match are welcome to join us and participate in the Carter County Open.
Red River Shootout (Match) format, schedule, & information
Two rounds, game/60;+30. Play the same opponent twice: once as Black, once as White. Oklahoma odd number boards are White for Round one.

Match pairings will be determined by the team captains. Players not paired in the match will be paired in the Murray County Open.
Please register in advance. Online registration closes at midnight on Friday, October 2. Link coming soon.
**Preregistered players must be onsite no later than 10:00.** Check in with your team captain when you arrive.
Or register onsite between 9 and 9:30. Registration closes at 9:30.
Entry: $20. No refunds after May 8.
